Starting the day with a batch brew is always a good option. It’s not going to knock your socks off, but what it lacks in punch it’ll generally make up for with developing character.

Take this morning’s coffee as an example. It started off quite generic. It was smooth, but while hot it didn’t really express any particular flavour or aroma. Yet as it cooled, like a song slowly turned up louder and louder, the citrusy tartness of maybe orange juice or the like came out and changed the palate of the coffee.
Experience like this transformation is everything.
