Hopscotch Cafe - Wareemba
You would have to travel far and wide to find a more relaxed, welcoming and friendly cafe than this one. While far too far o be my regular, I love the child friendly attitude and the delicious looking food. But what about the coffee you ask…?

While this is one of the few cafes in Sydney I have seen using Paul Basset coffee, if the coffee here is anything to go by, more cafes should consider stocking it. I started with it as a mac, a little worried that it would be overpowered, dark and bitter, but it had a smooth soft caramel start and a clean finish that many coffees are unable to attain. Most noticeable was the thick crema intertwined with a perfect quantity of milk. (Tick)

The to really taste the coffee I switch to an espresso with a dash of hot water in the bottom of the cup, and the caramel opened up to show a lighter, brighter side. Still with a viscous crema, the espresso maintained a full body and a clean finish. (Tick tick)

All in all, these coffees, the atmosphere and the fantastic service her have resulted in a great experience. If you are in the area, this is the cafe you want to come to.
