Having driving past this cafe one too many times I finally made use of the free 2 hour parking in the back and dropped by. While my expectations were increased a little having looked at the other positive reviews, I was interested to see what these guys had to offer. Being stuck between to cafes I loved (Wooden Whisk and Bean Drinking), it must be hard for them to complete.
In short… they don’t compete. They do however do what they do best. Having come here at lunch time it seems that their sandwiches and soups are a massive hit (and smell fantastic). Their coffee is also pretty great, so long as you’re a milk based coffee drinker. While I enjoyed my well made mac, and the additional Hershey’s kisses that was left on the spoon, the coffee beans are roasted to strong to be enjoyed as an espresso (my preferred drink).
If that doesn’t bother you however, they are yet another great option in the Crows Nest area.
