Seeing the same coffee as two or more options on a menu makes me want it both ways… I mean to take them both… to drink both forms of the coffee beverage. (Starting to think calling this dbl fisting is leading me astray… Lol)
Starting with the batch brew, the Sumatran just melted like chocolate and syrup in my mouth. Not quite as chocolatey as I remember, but still, the perfect warming cup for this grey cloudy day. As it opened up, it started to get a little more tart, but from start to finish, this mellow coffee was delicious.
Then the cold drip arrived and it continued along the same lines as the batch brew. It would have been even more interesting to try this also as an espresso, but the chocolate milk like aroma and the oh so smooth body gave me exactly what I was looking for.
If it wasn’t for the slight tartness, I would have bought some beans to take home.
