Guatemalan Santa Clara LB meets Ethiopian Hachira Batch Brew

While my day started poorly (with a dare to drink a cap) and then improved a little with a double espresso of Panama COE, having now shifted to Pablo & Rusty’s 161 store, I wanted to try something different.

Pablo & Rusty - Santa Clara & Ethiopian
Ended up going for the Santa Clara (as they had sold out of the Brazilian they had brought in), but as a second choice, as it had aged a little, it tasted a lot like a warm cup of hot chocolate. Very smooth, but with that dry cocoa feel on the tongue.

Then to contrast it, I went for the Hachira (as they had sold out of the other option; seeing a pattern here…?) which also seemed quite mellow for an Ethiopian. Still had a generous serving of citrus, and a very dry dry finish, but in its more mellow form it reminded me of the Hart’s Coffee which was like candied lemon, but just a little more watered down.

Not the worst way to spend the morning… 🙂
