Cold Filter – Brazil Single Origin Infused with Apple and Cranberry – Dose Espresso (19/40)

First the positives. This was very, very fruity beverage. It looked great….but… on the first sip I could almost go no further. It tasted like someone had mixed coffee with a slushy syrup. Unsure what was going on I drank some water, washed my mouth out and tried again… to no avail.

This is one of the worst things I have tried in a while. Fair enough it is likely unfair as I expect cold drips to accentuate the lighter notes of coffee and take great coffee to a new level. Instead, this is like a fruit infused tea which goes a long way to masking all of the original flavours in something quite foreign.

That said, if you are not a massive coffee drinker, enjoy fruity flavours, like the concept of fruit tea, this might be exactly what you are looking for. It is just not my thing…at all… (even as I think about it my stomach is still churning…).
