Boo yaaa…!! New passionate cafe located and tasted
Today’s #coffeehunt can certainly be see as a success. Spotting a random hole in the wall on a busy street in Sydney, I nearly walked by as I wasn’t sure if they were still in construction. Being the busy body that I am however, I decided to try anyways.
And as a walk in I see three guys chatting away about coffee, one of whom states that he is from the 4th generation of Colombian coffee family…. “milk should be kept for cheese”….”most cafes are lazy when it comes to brewing coffee.” This was a guy that I could come to like alot… 🙂
So I started out with a long black from Honduras, which while not opening up as much as I’d expected, was still deliciously bold and robust. I also love the way the coffee was presented. This cafe has great potential.
I then tried their Joker blend, created from 5 different coffees (forgive me for not getting them all), as a macciato. Following instructions and drinking it like a shot (mouth only slightly singed), the acidity of the fruits made it more like a hot shot of lemoncello. Bang! And yet it mellowed out and became smooth and warm. Sure it had more milk than I prefer from my macs, but meh, when it’s that good I will make exceptions… 🙂 b
Looking forward to trying these guys out more regularly
